At Above & Below Plumbing we have found that the best method of charging our customers is an hourly rate; this method is fair to all of our customers as you only pay for the time it takes to complete the work and we do not charge a call out fee if you live within 20 miles of Chelmsford.

Hourly rates

There is a minimum charge of one hour on all jobs thereafter work is charged in 15 minute increments. Our normal working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday but we are also available for emergency repair outside of normal working hours all prices are listed below.

Monday - Friday                  8am-5pm £63.00 first hour + vat

Additional hours                  £12.00 + vat every 15 minutes

Day Rates available £400.00 per day

Out of Hours

6am-8am -   £84.00
5pm-10pm - £84.00
10pm-6am - £126.00

For Saturday / Sunday & Bank Holidays there is an additional £21.00 per hour premium.

Quotations

Available on all jobs over £500.00 Labour (Quotations are generally non chargeable however some quotations may incur a charge depending on the time and area of the appointment any charge will be deducted from the final invoice).

Materials

Supplied by Above & Below plumbing will be charged at cost*.

Collection Fee

When carrying out a repair, we might have to collect a part not stocked on our vans, when this happens we will charge at 15 minute intervals to collect the item/s but no more than £36.00 will be billed for this service.

Misc

Any parking/London congestion charge will be added to the final invoice when applicable. All prices are excluding VAT which will be added to the final invoice at the standard rate 17.5%.

Payment

Payment must be made in full by debit card, cheque or cash to the engineer upon receipt of the job sheet, credit cards can also be used but will incur a 2% charge. Vat invoices will be sent from our office for all completed work.

Any non-present customers (landlords/third parties) will need to provide debit card details when booking, no money will be debited from this card until work is completed.
