| Power Flushing |
Power flushing is a way for heating engineers to clean all the central heating pipework and radiators by removing all black oxide (sludge) and corrosion deposits from your heating system. Your central heating will start to corrode the moment it is turned on this is because of the two different metals found in a heating system one being copper and the second being iron from the radiators. When the two metals meet they start a process called electrolysis, this process with the constant flow of water passing though the system means black oxide will quickly build up restricting the flow of water passing thought the pipework putting more pressure on the pump and will lead to pump failure and can eventual cause the system to brake down all together. Black oxide makes your boiler work harder this in turn uses more fuel causing global warning and costing you more money to run. Any of these symptoms could indicate that your system has circulation and flow problems resulting from internal corrosion and the subsequent formation of rust, sludge, and scale deposits. |
